Re: Visual Artist's corner

Steve, Mark and Andrew I know what you guys have said is true, and is the major reason I'm taking them. Well, that and they came with the camera when I bought it. But, I'd like to think that I'm not the only person who looks at what they do and think it's crap. I know we all compare ourselves to th...

Re: Visual Artist's corner

Steve - Thanks! I'm pretty pleased with how it's turning out. It started out as a pretty mundane set of images captured on expired Polaroid pack film. It seems to work pretty well as a collected installation piece. Frank - I'd like to think my eye is a little better than "decent". ;-) Lori...

Mock-up for “Past Date Special/Sentinals”. Covers are mostly complete and pages are folded and ready for images. https://33.media.tumblr.com/ec5a0773e93701b3b1ec6d6de18ca633/tumblr_nfgpi87Wj51qec2tio1_1280.jpg Page mock-ups for “Past Date Special/Sentinals” https://33.media.tumblr.com/e1266360903ffd...

Re: Wathcya watchin'?

It was pretty terrible. Production values were below par (even for the period) and the casting was terrible. I got about 2 episodes in and just couldn't do it. The dialog. Oh my god, the dialog; "Radiation Virus", "G class solar star". Ugh. On the other hand, it was good for a la...

Re: SCIENCE VS RELIGION

I'd personally love to see the budget expand for NASA. Shave 1% off the defense budget and throw it at NASA and you could see some major improvements.

Re: SCIENCE VS RELIGION

I don't disagree that robotic missions are key tools to space exploration. I'm all for it, especially when the technology improves continually. We can now accomplish more using fewer resources than at any time in our history. Where I disagree is in your suggestion that so much of this is shifting to...

Re: Whatcha listening to?

Mark, remember that rock lyrics are always tongue and cheek. Especially harder music and rap. They use outrage as a lark. Woo. Today is woo day. Woo. Tongue IN cheek. IN . Not and. IN And no, not always. I'd suggest that you try telling Rage Against The Machine or Public Enemy that their "outr...

Re: Frank Church's news corner, the sequel.

There are several suppressed books, I do know that. There are several that are being released as e-books. You can certainly find out about Paperclip but it is not as easy to access as Watergate or the explosion of the Columbia or the downing of flight 500--I'd make the claim that Paperclip is much ...

Re: Frank Church's news corner, the sequel.

Our side has been called kooks for years and our books banned when we brought up that America worked with former Nazis after the war. Now the NY Times can finally report about Project Paperclip and they can finally admit our collusion with the dregs of humanity. Thank you so much elite media. Fifty...

Re: SCIENCE VS RELIGION

Like a lot of folks I've watched the Philae Comet Lander with a great deal of interest. One point not much commented on in the media is that this mission is entirely a production of the European Space Agency without any contribution from the US space program. Get used to it folks. NASA severed its ...

Re: Copyright vs Copywrong

You mean compensate certain artists. Some artists will make almost zero money while others will swim in millions. A government supported funding plan would help more artists equally. Except that compensation is only a portion of the copyright equation. The biggest issue is control. Who controls my ...
