Quotes that inspire you and help you be your best
This thread'll probably drift a bit from time to time, from quotes we just like to ones we heard and agree with to ones we heard and don't agree with. I imagine it may stir some debate, and I'm no old hand at moderation. I hope it won't, and I don't really think it will, turn in to a heavy argumenta...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX
It's at times like this in the Pavilion that it would be nice to read the clear, lucid prose of David Loftus. Miss reading him around.

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX
Have a great and safe trip, Ezra. Read, lounge think. Reminds me of a thing I saw written the other day. "People ask me what I'm doing on my day off, and I tell them 'nothing'. Then they start to suggest things to do. No, I explain, you don't get it. I purposefully set aside my day off so that ...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX
Lori and Chuck~ Good to hear nice things are happening. Thanks for the smiles. ~~~~~~~~~ Just heard about JJ Cale. Not so much sad as wistful. Still, the loss of an artist is still a great loss. ~~~~~~~~ I have been called cynical, shallow even, because when I hear news, my mind turns it over and up...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX
I mostly just sit here and read. And I like Frank, for all the pros and cons, probably because I'm not debating him. But I look back at all the years, all the posts, all the time, of Frank on this BB. Then I imagine all the other BBs, sites and comment sections he may have frequented over the years....

Steve~ we're glad to hear Cris' prognosis. It sounds as though it'll be a slog, but a manageable one. Tell Cris I said hang tough, sister. It'll feel so good when you guys come through the other side. ~~~~~~~~~~ Lori~ What can I say? Helluva Father's Day. I'm glad you can keep a positive attitude in...

Re: Peluquero Redux
Glad to hear Cris came through all right and the doctor seems optimistic. Always a good sign. Waiting sucks, but I've always believed that an answer, at least an answer, is a luxury of relief. Luck be a lady and Cris is a fine one. Keep us updated, as you wish. Thinking of you.

Re: Peluquero Redux
Thank you, guys. All systems running normal, Captain. Mammogram, both sides and all six angles (ouch) are clean, and the ultrasound of the tumor bed, etc, et al, is also clean. Now we'll do it again in six months. It's odd, the way we view these things. Having had two surgeries, rounds of radiation,...

Re: Frank's Prince shocadelica purple pagoda.
I'm a huge fan of Sinead O'Connor. Personally she is a fourteen carat gold plated fruitcake but when she opens her mouth to sing she is one of the finest human beings alive. HEAR, HEAR! I've been saying summat like that for years. Sinead, Cobain, Miles Davis- I don't necessarily want to hear your p...
