To Rick & Steve & Jan & Duane et al

Been out of touch with the Pavvy and the BBs for almost two months, so I'm just now getting the news about the revamp. While I can't contribute anything financially nor time-wise, I just wanted to express my sincere thanks to everyone who has taken their time, energy and effort into keeping this pla...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

I've just been catching up, nothing to add to the discussion. But

Made me laugh out loud. Thanks, I needed that.
(I had also totally forgotten about "Deteriorata" until now. NIce.)

Re: Great Bumperstickers

Aw, Steve. Pretty sure that one was aimed at the Rapture folks, not the Hyundai owner's self-deprecation.
Hell, it coulda been a BM and I still would love it.
Nice ride.

Re: Great Bumperstickers

Attached to some funky Hunydai. (I don't know how to spell it, I don't want to look it up and the spell check's got nothin'.)

"After the rapture, can I have your car?"

Lost it on that one.

I too miss the snow. I just don't mind driving in it with all those other people three/four months a year.

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

Gwynnie, good to see (read) you again! Hope all is happy and healthy.
Aww, I guess that goes for the rest of ya as well.

Anybody heard from Loftus? I haven't looked at his website in a while. Seems like ages since I read anything from him.

One inch of powder snow and they close the schools. College, too.

Re: Working Through the Process of Grief

Thanks for the kinds words guys, you're aces. Barber~ "It's an awful, but tight, community..." Oh, I wouldn't call us awful, but I imagine I could be closer if I tried. :) You are right about helping others, wanting the pain to go away. Oh, man. ~~~~~~~~ Lori~ This thread and the last coup...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

Am I the only one who can't understand why the news would give airtime to Michele Bachmann's unnecessary extra response to the SOTU? Can any of us get some of that primetime after a political event if we pretend to be the leaders of a quasi-grassroots neo-revolutionary political party?

Re: Working Through the Process of Grief

Hi Chuck. Forgive me for popping in here a minute, but it's about 3 ayem, and, well, with your permission, wanted to share. I haven't posted much here in the BB, and not so much in the Pavvy for awhile. Little things here and there, mostly I don't because I just don't have the time to get embroiled ...

Hello Roc, just wanted to say hi, welcome, Merry Turkey Days, Happy Christmases and New Years and Birthdays and alla that. Hi, the rest of you too. Busy as a one-armed paper-hanger at work. I just caught up on the last twelve "pages" of this here Annex, now I go to dress a naked tree, list...

it just seems like my life is a joke these days and this is the only thread that fit. Steve, my heart goes out to you, and if venting here helps, all to the good. Perspective is most important, as is empathy. I always think if you cannot have one, then you must have the other. Good cess to you, bro...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

SPOILER AT THE END OF POST I can offer no opinion on EPL, book or movie. Just because the trailers look like roadkill, doesn't necessarily mean the movie is hash. The trailers for Boxing Helena looked like dirt, too. However, if you've not, I highly urge you to see Tilda Swinton in I Am Love . It i...

Re: THE PAVILION ANNEX

(I'm practicing being moralistic for when Sarah Palin becomes the Prez.) I can handle just about everything these cats throw out (and up) here, but that's a suspension of disbelief that even I find impossible to achieve. (Not you being moralistic, just that Palin... awww hell, you know what I mean.)
