Is Keith Olbermann really any preferable to Rush Limbaugh though? Mindless blather is still mindless blather no matter the flavor, n'est ce pas?

How in the world does Olbermann use mindless blather? What's your excuse. haha.

Harlan likes Olbermann, by the way.

Not to mention, Olbermann is NOT left. He is more centrist. If there was a REAL Leftist media in the US, it would be calling for an end to capitalism.
Today's American media is simply a tool of government propaganda. What with the concept of "embedded journalism," what else is one to presume?

No Frank. We were told to take it elsewhere. You didn't get the memo right?

do you mainly "feel"?
what do you think about your feelings?
how can your thoughts make you feel?

Mike

I don't think that Frank's problem is thinking. I think its more along the line of HOW he thinks that's the problem.

He's still at that point where it's all black and white, and he believes that seeing shades of grey make one week, a tool of the establishment.

Have you ever noticed the following; if you ask him a serious question that doesn't fit his rather polarized thoughts he just can't answer it. Either that or he spouts some ultra, uber radical talking point. I think he believes what he is saying but hasn't taken the time to figure out why.

This makes rational discussion almost impossible for him. You and I have figured out WHY we think the way we do, and can easily use our vocabulary to help another understand what and why we feel the way we do. He hasn't.

Lori -
I didn't see Mike's post as a shot at Frank, but rather as a follow-on series of questions to Ezra's "Left? Right? Truth lies in, shall we say, another direction. The secret is not what you think. It's how you think."

I interpret the above as an Empirical "you", not "You, Frank" -- therefore Mike's would read the same way.

Mike, am I wrong?

Barber

While I've probably misinterpreted Mike's post, I stand by my defense of Frank's thinking.

I know that thought pattern quite well, having been it's victim of it for more years than I'd care to admit.

IMO there have been a bunch of digs at Frank lately , some at my own fingertips. Just tryin to help people understand the enigma that is our Frank.

If I'm totally outta line, please remove this before many more get a chance to see it.

Not totally out of line, no. Otherwise we'd be discussing this through PMs and not a thread.

(And yes, I'm glad someone other than Frank is recognizing the digs go both ways.)
