Rob, will you please apologize to Finderdoug. Doug butts heads with me all the time but we like him here. Ezra, Doug, Barber, Nason, you, we need to get along.

-------

Barber, you would have said Kos was anti-semitic a few years ago.

Mark Goldberg certainly would have.

Andrew, when you have a chance read John Tirman's book The 100 Ways America Is Screwing Up The World. Pretty much a vast laundry list of why America is the great purveyor of violence. Don't worry, he also has a top ten of good things about us, not the elites.

Just cigarette pr alone has killed tens of millions.

Did a Ukrainian defector shoot down the plane?

I am not vetting this, but Robert Parry is usually a decent reporter.

To echo Doug and Frank, Rob owes Doug an apology. Not for confusing the two of them, but as Doug notes it's for the tone and approach.

Rob, I've warned you before that you need to dial it back. Do so and apologize to Doug and the board.

And Frank, don't drag people into the conversation who are not here to defend themselves.

Vegas, right?

No drinking.

The Parliament impressed me here:

Could you imagine our congress doing this? Even Bernie Sanders is mute--Elizabeth Warren is mute. Shocking.

Keith Ellison did a mild rebuke. That's about it. Our congress lives to hate. It does figure into my ideals regarding this country. They want blood on their hands while they bleat about being a Christian nation. Satan holds the gavel.

Shameful period to be American.

Speaking of someone who likes to shelter himself by bleating "Christian Nation" whenever it's convenient, I was just reading about Donald Trump's lifelong dossier of scams.

He was, at one point, quoted, saying "the housing market crash was a literal Act of God"! My jaw dropped.

I didn't realize that his big schtick was filing petty lawsuits for anything, like a numbers racket, and justifying it in the most laughable ways.

An example, he'd accrued massive debt, one being with the Deutsche Bank. In court, the latter said "Trump is no stranger to overdue debt," and he turned around and sued them nominally for "damaging his reputation"! Both sides eventually dropped their cases, which, it seems, pretty much sums up Trump's routine: successfully making things so stupid the people who are actually trying to make money would rather lose millions than continue to be involved with him!

Many billionaires in Russia work in this fashion as well.

BTW, for clarity, my bringing up this subject earlier had nothing to do with the Ukraine question. I brought up the historical matter of Putin and his billionaire thugs in a separate train-of-thought. The business in Ukraine is just another piece that fits the motif.

Problem here, Franklin the Elite, is that you promote your voice as the clarion of truth, when history will remember you as the guy who had Michelangelo down as the genius who painted the roof on the Sistine Chapel. :!: Everyone knows the roof of the Sistine Chapel was repainted this last year by Guido, the guy whose job it is to paint roofs in Vatican City. It looks good, but it's no masterwork.

You snooze...well, you know.

Rob.

Forgive if I missed it, but I am serious. You were pretty nasty to Doug, under the assumption he was Frank...neither one acceptable.

We, collectively, await your response.

(And for the record, it's been a long time since I've had to exert Moderator controls on nastiness, and this is like the fourth time in a month.)
