Well, America, the D'Souza documentary made a bit over 13 million, which aint bad for a documentary. It does mean that the right wing largely avoided it. Many on the right are just dummies.

D'Souza should not get jail time.

Let him helf the homeless stay in Santa Monica.

I still don't get why Lionsgate released that junk.

God knows the US has a lot of faults and needs some knowledgeable criticism but to defend Vladimir Putin is simply loathsome. Who are these slime balls and what rock did they crawl out from under?

I find myself deeply disappointed in "reporters" who do very little more than parrot the ideology they've been given. Putin's annexation of Crimea, and willful deceit of his own people about the nature of the war -- yes, war -- in Eastern Ukraine, plus Russia's contribution to it is stunning. Putin is very much a modern day Krushchev, talking out of both sides of his mouth while making the world less safe.

To be sure, Ukraine has done some things which I find questionable, however they ARE defending their own sovereign territory. Russia is invading it.

(Imagine, ignoring the military suicide it would be, if Mexico annexed California, insisting it was an historic part of Mexico. Then openly supported Mexican rebels in Arizona trying to declare their own nations in the southern part of the state, building up its military along the border, threatening to invade. How would you feel then? Or if, as Americans, we annexed Nova Scotia, and openly supported ethnic Americans in a rebellion in New Brunswick. Would we have the high road?)

(And yes, I am aware of the classic claim Russia had on Crimea. That should have been handled peaceably, not with aggression. "Gimme that back" is the work of an immature mind.)

This just in.

Colin Powell Initially Kept In The Dark About CIA Interrogation Practices, Report Finds

A Senate report on the CIA's interrogation and detention practices after the 9/11 attacks concludes that the agency initially kept the secretary of state and some U.S. ambassadors in the dark about harsh techniques and secret prisons, according to a document circulating among White House staff.

These are the things we do that keep me up at night, Frank.

That so-called "torture report" must be really bad the way the intelligence agencies impicated are kvetching and whinging about releasing it. A shameful phase of our recent history. After 9/11 we gave ourselves permission to be stupid. And we'll live with that for decades. Let it all come out and let the chips fall where they may.

Typical to see you yanks not even read what they wrote. They are both mainstream liberals and experts on Russia. I cannot say that about you blokes. Doesn't it seem odd that every western state defends your point of view? This is similar to the usual commie bashing blather.
