Frank: Harlan hasn't even mentioned you. There isn't even one fleck of evidence that he's displeased with you, or he thinks you're Vox in fact, I suspect he hasn't even noticed the occasional trolling from said individual. He'd probably say, "Who the hell is 'Vox'?"

Relax, take a few deep breaths.

S'matter, Frank? Your ears burning?

Chuck - the Vox that has popped in to the Pavvy, initially as Vox Clamantis in Deserto in 2011, is a semi-regular who uses the pseudonym to vomit up additional posts. He's demonstrably not the Vox of SFWA expulsion and Hugo follies.

Damn, Douglas. No wonder you're called 'Finder'. Now that I remember, that was his full nom de keyboard. Thanks!

Chuck, that's Doug's training, but he won't admit that he learns a lot from me. :)

Frank, remember how you opined:
If Harlan is agitated he will tell me, trust that. The guy aint shy.
Is it possible - just possible - that Harlan specifying "Frank Church or Rob need not reply" is the calm expression of his agitation?

If I thought I was going to receive something like...
Yeah, Cleveland's high crime but that's a numbers game. Corrupt cops shake down kids painting graffiti to pad their arrests while the powerful skate, committing murder and drugs and who knows what. There would be more programs to keep the poor off crime, but our doofus righty governor Kasich thinks social programs are a waste of his golf handicap.

You should come to Cincinnati next time, Harlan -- the cradle of the state, nursed on the milky love of the Ohio River. Cleveland would give its left nut to be us, LOL

Well, I might nip that in the bud, too. :D

Since I'm not familiar with hip internet slang I'll assume you're asking for a detailed exegesis of the relevant Biblical passage with notes and bibliography.

I'll get back to you.

Doug, it may have been my aside about how Captain Wahoo is a racist symbol.

Frank - Let me see if I understand.

You think that Harlan cut you off at the pass this week for a comment about Chief Wahoo...

That you made in August, 2001...

That Harlan addressed at the time without vitriol?

I may be clutching at straws here, Frank, but I'm certain you've said or done far worse than that in the intervening thirteen years.

Barber, describe the long flight you just encountered? It had to be awful, beyond the beauty of down under.

Ezra, I got the quote; I was merely channelling our needy Franklin.

Whatever else may be true, ours is not a boring Pavilion. Not right now.

Frank, apologizing for your political posts is an expression of regret and an implied desire to change.

Jeez Frankie. At least get the mascot's name correct before kvetching about it.

I don't know who Captain Wahoo is, but Chief Wahoo is certainly a polarizing figure.
