You wound me, Lori. With a last name such as my own, y'think I don't know what a barber pole is?

This is what they -- they who know such things -- call a "play on words". 8)

*hand to forehead a few times*

Silly boy, word play isn't just for BOYS! I know full well you know exactly what a barber pole is.

I can have fun with verbiage too, can't I???

The home work for today my children is to listen to some Captain Beefheart today. You will love it or I doubt your art-creds or good taste.

Right, stop the sketch!

Time to get back to serious, relevant issues. Like the Dio themed barber shop quartet (we could call it "Barber and the barbers" or something like that). Such a thing would not be completely without precedent. There do exist lounge versions of his songs:

What is the name for the mental condition wherein a person believes that any statement they make must be true?

Oh look, Frank. A sign that says "don't start".

I don't know what the "official" word for it is, but I call it pathological narcissism. And there are way too many people inflicted with it!

That works for me...oddly enough, although I understand Frank was being unkind, I WAS asking this with regard to me. In a different context, but 'struth.

Keeneyitis, though, is something you'd really like to "get", ladies. It's not infectious, you keep it to yourself.

Hmmmmmmm....

For much of my life I was pathologically shy. I thought everyone was talking unkindly re me always. Then I hit 40 42ish, and I didnt care. Now several years later, I again think everyone is talking about me. Why the hell wouln't they be? what else do they (or you all) have to talk about that is one half as beautiful, sweet, smart, kind, nice, wellread, witty, exciting.... Really!

Keeney is there a cure for this ailment? Or must researchers trek through the rain forests to find the proper potion? To inoculate against keeneyism? Is it FATAL!!!!

Frankie you can call your radio station whatsever your heart desires. "Radio free Frank?"

Ahh Rick I was afraid of that!

I am currently rereading American Gods and a book on the IndoEuropeans and from whence they derive. I am about to try for a copy of the Story Sisters by Alice Hoffman cause I like her stuff and the plot sounds interesting. That is all at the moment, as I am attempting to get the Red Menace to pass his GED and SAT in the next month or two( the RM being my nephew Vinnie) He is under the impression that me studying and learning the material will somehow get him to pass the test and get accepted at U of W Madison. And so he doesn't have to crack a book. Ha I say and more ha. He is a smart person and a good one but sooo stubborn. Life is gonna hit this boy hard. So keepin busy. And doin the Christmas shuffle. But if Doug and Peg keep posting all the delicious stuff they are making food wise for the holiday on FB, I may just ditch my family and make like a bird and fly south. Fair warning guys.

That was kinda funny Barber. How you?
