Note to the servers and hosts our there who may be tuned in:

Having been a server, let me tell ya something.
Even writing it down doesn't mean we get it correct. IMO it's much better to check on it before we serve you than to serve you the wrong thing. We depend on your pleasure for our tips. Without those most servers get less than the minimum wage ya know.

Lori I know what a hard job it is. It's a real skill I do not take for granted. I'm a generous tipper. And I know that even writing it down doesn't prevent mistakes. But not writing it down increases the chances of making mistakes considerably.

Just force a tip in the bill. They will pay the restaurant tax, why not tip to help our Lori?
