The REALLY Dark Knight

Postby Ben W. » Sun Dec 21, 2008 5:12 pm

All the talk of political correctness over at the Pavilion has made me wonder about a slightly different (but related) subject, namely comedy.

Shows like SOUTH PARK and THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN flaunt their anti-PC philosophies mercilessly, but is it possible for humour to become too dark? Take this video, for example (you'd better check it out now, I have a feeling it won't be around for too long):

Yes, it's sick as all fuck. But I still laughed. Does that make me damned?

See, that's how you do something sick but make it funny.

I love South Park as well. I am as pc as that video.

Personally, I think the humour stems more from Batman and Gordon's overwrought reactions to the Joker's corpse than the Joker's corpse itself. I love Batman's high-pitched, hysterical frat-boy delivery.
