Apparently the company asked for permission from Hepburn's family, but the fact Hepburn doesn't have any say in the matter herself still makes this feel unpleasantly ghoulish somehow.

I wrote a short story a couple decades ago (not a very good one) wherein the tech had advanced to where dead actors were being cast in new movies. We're not that far away, I think, from the day computer modeling will put Clark Gable and Rita Hayworth in a film based on a Michael Connelly novel.
