Frank, I agree that Colorado is a beautiful place, at least in most areas. Commerce City, which is where I work, is just as scenic and pretty as the name would suggest. To paraphrase Douglas Adams, there is no phrase in any language that says, "As pretty as an oil refinery." Or a chemical plant, or oil tank farm, or gravel pit, or truck depot, or landfill, etc.

The mountains are the best place, though Garden of the Gods and its weird rock formations, and the sand dunes park have a beauty of their own.

Nice to see you around these here parts again, Duane. David Gerrold's Facebook postings are quite good. Too bad the national discussion can't be that rational.

Duane, my buddy, what's up! You never let me down, neither does the NRA. The fucks are toast.

Barney, buddy, get some thick skin there man. My innocent musings do not scare small rodents, you should be fine. I would mention that person worship is very unhealthy.

Sorry I'm running so late, Diane. I'm still at work, and it'll be two hours before I get to go home for the weekend. It's very quiet out here. I wish the coyotes would start their serenade. I find the sound soothing. All that's out there now is the sound of distant traffic and the occasional air liner. The airport is just to the east of here.

This could be a long two hours.

Good God the weather is shitty here. Indiana has a blizzard, we have freezing rain. Icy nuggets hitting your lips like diamond chips, pure agony. You angelinos better start kissing the dirty ground you walk upon and salute those ugly ass palm trees.

There's a lot of irony in palm trees. Like palms in Iraq.

Well, it DID rain again last night and dropped to a bone-chilling 42 degrees. I almost needed a jacket running errands this morning.

And palm trees are cool.
- I love to find adventure. All I need is a change of clothes, my Nikon, an open mind and a strong cup of coffee.

Ezra has been awfully quiet lately. I hope he's out somewhere enjoying himself, maybe catching some sun.

My favorite nostrum is Malibu Rum and Tequila Rose. Did I get the meaning of nostrum right? I liked your poem Tim, just not the sadness. People are complaining on Twitter that eating Taco Bell made them sick. Well no shit! Like who didn't know that? Who eats Taco Bell?

Tim, you do have something. You have yourself. And your art. And the people on this site, including moi. Kay?
