This is a list of articles written by Mr Kersh for various newspapers and magazines. I’ve arranged them by the names of the aforementioned newspapers and magazines, then listed the individual articles chronologically.

For each article I’ve included the date and title. Some of the articles are part of a regular column, so I have grouped these under an overall title. For example:

THE PRIVATE LIFE OF A PRIVATE by anon

Kersh wrote most of his pseudonymous and anonymous work for newspapers. Kersh was so prolific that I think some editions of The People contain articles by Kersh and Piers England, and a short story by Mr George Chickery - all of them being Kersh! I’ve tracked down as much as I can based on clues, intuition and the casting of runes. A couple are attributed to Kersh purely on my say-so.

There are different types of article listed here. From tall stories, to war-time propaganda, to book reviews and sports reportage.

Note that in the 1930s and 1940s short stories were often featured in newspapers. I have included these on the Short Stories page. However, the distinction between what is real and what is made up can be somewhat blurred when it comes to Kersh’s articles as Piers England. Also, I have included the instructional articles Kersh wrote using Sergeant Nelson as the narrator.

I am sure this list is incomplete, so if you find any more, I would be grateful if you would email me at: kershed@aol.com

HELP! Throughout this text, some of the articles are displayed in red to indicate I would like a copy. Also, if a newspaper, magazine, or book is in red, it indicates that I do not have all the bibliographic information I require. If anyone can find the info, please send to the above address.
