SEQUENTIAL ELLISON Harlan Ellison Comic Book Bibliography Version 6.0: October1998 compiled by Christopher Day (chrisday@enteract.com) INTRODUCTION ---------- Sequential Ellison is a disgustingly detailed and anal listing, organization, and bibliographic reference exploring the comic book and comic book related work of the award winning writer Harlan Ellison. This document is the plain- text version of the web-based document that can be found at: http://www.enteract.com/~chrisday/Ellison/ This bibliography is a working document. It has circled around on the Usenet and on various other web sites since 1994 and is currently on version 6.0. This version represents the first update since the last issue of _Dream Corridor_ was released two years ago, and while it does not include any new items it does represent a great leap in the accuracy of much of the information. However, it is still incomplete. In some cases I have not physically confirmed details of an item, in many occasions items are long out of print and considered collectors items. It is as accurate as I can make it with the information available to me. If you have any questions, comments, corrections, or additions, please, do not hesitate to contact me. Also, please let me know if you download this, reprint it elsewhere, or anything as I wish to keep track of how it is disseminated. I would be quite interested in anything you have to say about it. ***************************************************************************** ORIGINAL STORIES ---------- Avengers "The Summons of Psyklop (In the Grip of Psyklop, part 1)" Issue 88, May 1971, Marvel Comics story, Harlan Ellison; adaptation, Roy Thomas pencils, Sal Buscema; inks, Jim Mooney; cover, Buscema & Mooney [continued from Incredible Hulk 140] Avengers "Five Dooms To Save Tomorrow" Issue 101, July 1972, Marvel Comics story, Harlan Ellison; adaptation, Roy Thomas pencils, Rich Buckler; inks, Dan Adkins; cover, Buckler & Frank Giacoia [based on an original story copyright 1964 Harlan Ellison] Creepy "Rock God" Issue 32, 1970, Warren story, Harlan Ellison art, Neal Adams; cover, Frank Frazetta [story based on cover art by Frazetta] [reprinted in Dream Corridor Quarterly #1] Daredevil "The Deadliest Night of My Life" Issue 208, July 1984, Marvel Comics story, Harlan Ellison & Arthur Byron Cover pencils, David Mazzuchelli; inks, Danny Bulandi; cover, Mazzuchelli & Bulandi Daredevil "Blast From the Past" Issue 209, August 1984, Marvel Comics story, Arthur Byron Cover; "From an idea by Harlan Ellison" pencils, David Mazzuchelli; inks, Danny Bulandi; cover, Mazzuchelli [Continues story from previous issue] Detective Comics "The Night of Thanks But No Thanks" Issue 567, October 1986, DC Comics story, Harlan Ellison pencils, Gene Colan; inks, Bob Smith; cover, Klaus Janson Harlan Ellison's Chocolate Alphabet 1978, Last Gasp Eco-Funnies story, Harlan Ellison art/cover, Larry Todd introduction, Ellison - "A Note On How This Story Came To Be Written" afterword, Todd - "And A Short Afterword From The Illustrator" Heroes For Hope starring the X-Men "Wolverine" (pp 22-24) 1985, Marvel Comics story, Harlan Ellison pencils, Frank Miller; inks, Bill Sienkiewicv [Wolverine segment of benefit book for African famine relief] Incredible Hulk "The Brute, or The Brute That Shouted Love at the Heart of the World" (In The Grip of Psyklop, part 2) Issue 140, June 1971, Marvel Comics story, Harlan Ellison; adaption, Roy Thomas layout, Herb Trimpe; art, Sam Grainger; cover, Herb Trimpe [continued from Avengers 88] [Reprinted in the 1994 Marvel Vintage Comic Pack] Marvelmania Monthly Magazine "The Hulk In The Grip of Psyklop" Issue 4, 1970, Marvel Comics story, Harlan Ellison [Manuscript version of Psyklop story from Avengers 88/Hulk 140 published before adaptions] ADAPTIONS ---------- Ariel "Along The Scenic Route" Volume Three, 1978, Publisher Unknown adaption, unknown; art, Al Williamson; cover, unknown [Have not seen copy] Chamber of Chills "Delusions For A Dragon Slayer" Issue 1, 1972, Marvel Comics adaption, Gerry Conway art, Syd Shores; cover, Gil Kane Demon With A Glass Hand Science Fiction Graphic Novel 5, 1987, DC Comics art and adaption, Marshal Rogers Epic Illustrated "Sleeping Dogs" Issue 4, Winter 1980, Marvel Comics art and adaption, Ken Steacy [Black and white version] [Updated color version included in Night and the Enemy] Epic Illustrated "Life Hutch" Issue 6, June 1981, Marvel Comics art and adaption, Ken Steacy [Black and white version] [Updated color version included in Night and the Enemy] Epic Illustrated "Run for the Stars" Issue 11, April 1982, Marvel Comics art and adaption, Ken Steacy [Reprinted in Night and the Enemy] Harlan Ellison's Dream Corridor Special February 1995, Dark Horse Comics front cover, Stephen Hickman; back cover, Overton Loyd story behind the cover, "Midnight In The Sunken Cathedral: Part One" poster insert, Jill Bauman "Framing Sequence" story, Harlan Ellison; art, Eric Shanower "Quicktime" adaption, Len Wein; pencils, Pat Broderick; inks, Ralph Cabrera "The End of the Time of Leinard" adaption, Faye Perovich; art, Doug Wildey "Rat Hater" adaption, Faye Perovich; art, Michael T.
